- The BumpTop 3d Desktop takes the pseudo-organized desktop of loose and shaped piles of paper and imposes a similar metaphor on the virtual equivalent. Problem is that a messy desktop represents a very personal system that is based on position, but not on information or content. Whether you sort through a real pile of paper, magazines, or folders or the virtual equivalent, you are still doing the indexing manually. Even a tidy pile of hundreds of files of several extensions is going to consume time shuffling. Perhaps somebody has a visual metaphor for files based on specific content.

- i'd love to see this implemented with some sort of glove interface instead of the pen, to be able to manipulate the files virtually with your hands... very interesting

- Visually it looks good but I can't see it replacing folders, especially when you're dealing with thousands of files.
