The tango is more than a dance, more than a life-style. It is life. The "tango nuevo" is a kind of tango which was born in the jazz "caves" (no typo: not cafés ... caves) of Paris. Tango mixed with elements of jazz. It has been around since ... as far as I know ... the 70s. Astor Piazzolla is its father. A friend made me discover this unusual artist and his music during the late 70s (or very early 80s). I've seen him perform in various settings, each of them an exceptional experience.
