- It's great that the Electronic Frontier Foundation has given Mark Klein the support he needs to go public. He is the real deal. Once we get routers with deep packet inspection, the government can filter what it "needs". See WireTapBackground.notlong.com. Then we can look back and laugh at the early, crude attempts of the Bush Administration, when they had to split off the entire West Coast Internet traffic and ship it through AT&T to NSA HQ at Fort Meade, MD.

- Again, this is the type of things that people will just close their eyes to and say it's in our best interest - let the government do their job. It couldn't be farther from the truth that the government was "doing their job" in this case.

So now we have a giant telecom company wathing our every move on the internet rather than our government? Wow, if only the Soviets would have had this! I'm sure glad the Chinese do this, it sure does make me feel safe. That's one thing we really need to do...be more like the Chinese!
