"In this powerful documentary, filmmaker Nicolas Rossier trains his probing lens on the events that led to Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide's ouster in 2004. Putting matters in context, the film delves into the country's troubled history and the role played by outside interests -- including the United States -- in deposing the controversial political figure. Aristide weighs in via interviews, as do a number of his defenders and detractors. "

From the page: "Aristide and the Endless Revolution" Canada, France & US planned to remove the elected government of Haiti. US actions - Aid and loan freeze to create unrest against the government. - Arms embargo to disarm government. - Money by Republican't right-wing institutions (namely, IRI) to support opposition. - CIA actions: staged demonstrations. Armed and trained "rebels". - Coup-napping by US of Aristide 2-29-2004. Poor people, staged nonviolent opposition to UN force and US de-facto rule. Many documented instances of brutality by UN. UN killed civilians, even women and children. more at Haiti Action Committee

Aw what the hell? My hairs started to go up and then that guy toward the end said HIS hairs were going up on his neck. Creepy. I'm definitely going to find a copy of this. And why the fuck has this been up for a year and a half and I'm the forth commenter? Figured people would have more to say but I may give the world too much credit.
