- I spent my teenage years in a very fucked up city listening to Portishead and partying in abandoned warehouses with a bunch of other music lovers, fuck ups, and people on way too many psychedelics. Nevertheless, the dark melancholy tunes of Beth Gibbons & Company all the way from Bristol allowed me to make sense of urban decay and to pass pained human emotions through the filter of concrete and empty fields. The new one Thirds is out very soon and I suggest anyone interested to have a listen. This is powerful, raw, existential music that will unmistakably color your life whenever and where ever you happen to fall under its spell.
