Feminists and human rights advocates are not the least bit disturbed that "Muhammed is the model that we follow". Incidentally, in one of the Islamic scriptures it says: "The virgin is not to be married until her consent has been sought. They said: O Messenger of Allaah! What is her consent? He replied: Her silence. And in another wording: And regarding the virgin, her father seeks her consent and her consent is her silence."
Silence = consent. But only for virgin Muslims. Non-virgin Muslim women have to give verbal consent. Kafir women who are enslaved can be raped or turned out as prostitutes or sold. At least, that is the case if Islamic scriptures (which are considered to be divinely inspired to explain the "example" of Mohammed which the Koran demands Muslims follow and to explain the incomprehensible parts of Allah's revelations) are to be believed.
