We can refuse to be consumers, make our own energy, share skills, barter or create an alternative currency, be low-impact, organic farmers, link private digital networks, share information, and obey only if it is the will of the majority. In some form or another, global government is going to happen. The question is who will control it. Governments have to trick you into thinking they are necessary, but I personally think it is foolish to trust your fate to a group of golfing buddies who get rich on war. A few men cannot be trusted with that power. We must do something. Check out the National Initiative for Democracy at http://ni4d.org/ if you trust your fellow Americans more than politicians.
