"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed." -- U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, Nov. 21, 1864 (letter to Col. William F. Elkins) Ref: The Lincoln Encyclopedia, Archer H. Shaw (Macmillan, 1950, NY)

Democrats, grow up and stop defending something that is clearly more than just a mistake. Republicans, Democrats; they're all controlled by the same people trying to game you out of your property.

Burning Down the House: What caused the Economic Crisis. Very well edited timeline, no spin, no B.S. -Just History. And the chronicles of the sleaze-bag Left Liberal hacks that lined their pockets with good intentions. = Barney's Rubble. Barrack's Bling. I loved the way one Stumbler dismissed this with the following quip: "This video only focuses on only one issue, when there were really were several catalysts." LOL!!

*sigh* not this tripe again. The law was enacted during an economic boom, and was appropriate during that time and because of that boom allowed for much looser controls to be placed on the market. That 13 year old law lead to a home ownership rate in this country and during this time default rates actually fell in many states. When the economy started hitting the skids in 2000 things should have been reigned in when things got out of hand.

This is true, but again, it is aimed at simple-minded people who are easily influenced. I stopped it after a couple of minutes and I know for a fact that what I saw was entirely true, but I cannot condone the marketing of important economic and political ideas in the same fashion as one would sell a beat up used car. I felt like I was watching a commercial for Honest Larry's House of Cars. Learn to make up your own mind. If someone is trying to convince you of something, you had better know what is in it for them before you even change your mind.
