Without going through the server, one could send files as huge as 100MB at a time. And in total, files upto 1GB, which surely is quite a lot. What's more, one doesn't have to for long for the files to go across the recipient. YOusendit takes half the amount of time what free-mail services take. Makes emailing so much easier.

yousendit is my favorite site for sending large files, use it all the time!

This site allows you to send files to other people without going through a server. You can send a file at a time up to 100MB with a total allowable space of 1GB. If you pay for the service then you can send larger files and more than one at a time. The recipient gets an e-mail with a link to the address on their website and they can download it from there. It only stays up there for 2 - 3 days. Excellent idea for sharing fat files with colleagues. It has a slight edge over google-docs.
