Here's WriteSomething's nifty little tag line: "Type here whatever you want, quick and without thinking" Hands up anyone who: a) Thinks this is a good idea, or b) can't guess what a horrible language car-crash will result from this instruction. (If anyone raised their mitt then, quite frankly, you are reading the wrong blog here.) Try to imagine a dumbed-down version of Twitter. Hard I know, but WriteSomething pulls off this trick with flying colours.

Escrever é uma arte. Escrevo com sentimento. O site não determina que deva ser em inglês. Se posso escrever o que quiser, escrevo na minha língua pátria.

From the "about" page: "... I sit here thinking about what it means to be a part of something like this - an endless, senseless, interactive book - and i come to the conclusion that it's really a very cool thing." *note (spoiler): It's not really a very cool thing. Also, I came to the conclusion that his conclusion is dopey. "To have tons of random people just vomit out what's on their minds at the moment - kind of connects them all, just for a second, y'know?..." That sounds exactly like what I want to be connected with sometime around, say, never. For a moment I imagined it. Shockingly, it sounded like The Suck. And it was. Click and move on. Use of the word vomit was accurate and in this case cannot be applied too heavily. "... These plots with no endings and interrupted by small snippets of other people's thoughts and worlds... It's very much like life, but who said that art could imitate life and still make sense? ..." *note: I died of laughter. Then I went back to the main page to give it another shot. Then I talked myself out of digging my eyeballs out with a teaspoon. Then I re-read the above quote and died of laughter AGAIN. Now resurrected and moving along. It IS very much like life, if "life" were Twitter plus Xanga plus worse (I know), and you had to read that for the whole time you were living. So yes, if life were HELL, this page is like life. Oh, and to answer the question of who said art could imitate life and make sense: Art critics. Duh. Now, a snippet from the actual page: ~ Georgia is a weirdo. The person, not the state. ~ i\'m afraid you\'re not going to come, ever. ~ panda ~ la la la la la la la i love you. ~ Georgia OKeefe painted pictures of va-jayjays ~ gay ~ i love life :)~ you love life? i see that you have never been married ~ Waiting for a call, that probably won\'t come. ~ Banana~ It\'s a COOKIE! ~ Bic~ the car was tall and big ~ my leg constantly aches. will it ever heal? ~ I sure do love a certain person a lot. ~ Why experiment on animals when there are so many lawyers available? ~ I ate a pie of an oven door today. ~ all will die in a burning ball of primordial space debris ~ FK me har from behind ~ My husband is sick with the flu. I hate taking care of men. ~ You freakin\' pervert! ~ okman ~ Told ya.
