What would happen to our planet if we [the human species] were to die out? Starts at 2 days after extinction and goes on to forever?

Quite an interesting hypotheses, nonetheless very well thought out.

I always like these but, but everyone says they know what would really happen, isn't everything just speculation if we can't know for sure?

I did go through a stage when I viewed humanity as evil, damaging the world, attacking each other, just a parasite of the earth's resources. The eventual total extinction of humans didn't seem such a bad thing. Now I appreciate how much there is to celebrate about being human: debate, literature, music, art, the way strangers do care about each other, the amount of discussion and active work that goes into helping people both within our community and those living the other side of the world, and in working to protect wildlife, threated regions, etc. There are far more compassionate, caring people in the world than uncaring, evil.

The story after our extinction

Interesting. But a nuclear power plant's emergency power isn't to circulate water, it's to stop the reaction.
