Devastating view of WWI in colour. The colour photos mean that the conflict looks new and recent and connected to us. It gives a much more personal view of that bloody and pointless conflict.

color photos existed as early as the civil war. To my knowledge, this was achieved by layering panes of glass over one another. They are a hard find since they were either destroyed or used as windows and have faded.
