Atheism is characterized by an absence of belief in the existence of gods. China dominates the map, although large per-capita rates are found in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea and Sweden. Territory size shows the proportion of the world's atheists living there.

This is just because China's official state religion is atheism, and their citizens cannot claim anything else.
