Keenest rated 8 weeks ago- Ahhh yes, I've always wondered what would be a good name for these things, now I know.

slocum77a rated 8 weeks ago- so they do have a formal name. very interesting.

trill42 rated 2 months ago- Beautiful land use term that came to mind the other day during a long walk, much of which was sidewalk free. I was musing a bit about how the area wasn't planned for walking. And then I started encountering desire lines every so often. A gently tread, politely narrow dirt path winding around a corner is at least dozen kinds of great.

TheJunner rated 2 months ago- If you can only dig up examples where the term is used between quote marks and explained, it doesn't seem like an actual solidified term. Either give me an example where it's used without explanation (i.e. where its meaning is assumed to be understood) or just don't bother. (This needn't apply to a term's earliest citation, of course.)
