I've run across this page before in my studies of various languages, and have found it quite useful, at least for beginner-level language study (Nota bene: I have only used it for a small handful of the languages it offers to lead you to). The purpose of the site is to guide its readers to already established--and, hopefully, maintained--language-learning sites. The fact that most of these sites only contain basic phrases is not a deficiency on the part of FOLC, seeing as how the site states that its resources "vary in quality and the quantity," and that it asks for its users to report "bad links or new useful links." This site does everything that it says it does--although the bit about "the hope of all people developing a better understanding of others through the use of language" could be reworded or removed--and cannot be held accountable for anything other than that. If I thought that this site could be improved, I would say that it could probably use some sort of rating or comparison system for the sites about each language, which could help to weed out the bad links. I would recommend it at least as a good starting point.

Nice site. However, for Spanish practice, I like SpanishDict much better. They've got great Spanish translation and other good, free resources.
