- This is useless trivia... and Useless WRONG trivia... example: It states it takes 8 minutes and 3 seconds for light to get here from the sun... WRONG.. someone didn't do the math right...
- 93,000,000 miles from earth to sun (average rounded off number)
- speed of light is 186,282 miles per second (close enough)
- distance divided by the speed gives an answer of 499.24308306760717621670370728251 seconds
- that number divided by 60 = 8.3207180511267862702783951213751 minutes... That's 8.3 minutes, not 8 minutes and 3 seconds...
- the real answer is 8 minutes and 19 seconds.. i'd be more specific than that but when we're not dealing with exact distances, why bother?
Now if only the idiots would do some fact checking to ensure it's correct and not a number someone pulled out of their ass, they might actually LEARN something...
Also, #25... I think they meant to say the inventor of the electric chair was a dentist... this list is badly translated and wrong in so many places... - This is useless trivia... and Useless WRONG trivia... example: It states it takes 8 minutes and 3 seconds for light to get here from the sun...
