theboff rated 9 months ago- Wings 3D is my modelling app of choice. I find it so much easier to use than blender - certainly, it can do tings that blender can't and it can do some things that blender can much more easily. However it can never replace blender, in terms of rendering (although you can do good stuff with wings and yafray), animating and rigging etc. I reckon they work best as a pair - do your modelling in wings, and the rest in blender!

- Going to have to try this out. It looks like you need a separate program to render it with any degree of quality, but that is not much of a problem to find.
