Ancient Celtic symbols and their meanings

aiean rated 16 months ago- Very interesting read about various Celtic symbols. I don't agree with their explanation of the triquetra: They say, "...the symbol for the holy trinity. Being a holy sign, this Celtic symbol is often carved into stone block used in churches." This is untrue with the Celts, because the Celts followed a different set of beliefs then the christains. The triquetra technically represents the 3 aspects of the feminine life cycle, the maiden (the young virgin), the mother (pregnancy and motherhood) and the crone (old age and immense wisdom).
