The who gives a shit attitude has annoyed me for a long time. Yes there have anywhere up to 23 mass extinctions since life on earth started however; the mass extinction that is occurring now has been caused by man. The human race is the causative agent of the mass extinction, through habitat destruction and habitat perturbation and unless we change our ways this will continue. Obviously, we are not going to change our way (nobody gives a shit) so this will continue. So, yes, it is all doom and gloom for certain species.

Okay, how about making your own proper website, instead of just linking to 100s of ones that no one is actually going to click on and read anyway.

What's your point? Animals have been going extinct since the dawn of man.. it's not like anything is going to change any time soon.

In the future, if things go right, the ability to create animals from scratch should exist, and not to mention we are starting to create 3D worlds that can take the place. At the person saying "for the children", I can only say to you: Stop using that as an argument.
