But Distilled water isn't that good, you should have some good salts in it for the sake of health, but great for far-flung areas(at least for them distilled water is better than that with crap!)

this is something thats been around for a while, the idea anyway. and people in africa have no drinking water why?

Function 1. Pour salty / brackish Water into pan. Then float the WaterconeŽ on top. The black pan absorbs the sunlight and heats up the water to support evaporation.. 2. The evaporated Water condensates in the form of droplets on the inner wall of the cone. These droplets trickle down the inner wall into a circular trough at the inner base of the cone. 3. By unscrewing the cap at the tip of the cone and turning the cone upside down, one can empty the potable Water gathered in the trough directly into a drinking device.

Very simple invention for water desalination using solar energy. It's so easy anyone can look at it for a few seconds and understand exactly how it works.
