A couple of years ago, I started buying all WASP albums, because the only WASP songs I knew where "the classics". One of the best decisions I ever made. And if you know WASP, but haven't heard "Dying For The World" yet: shame on you. The sheer aggression and hate and sorrow on that album are hair-raising. You should read the sleeve notes by the way. But the reason I'm making this post is cause "Crimson Idol" is getting to me again. First time I heard it, I was addicted for weeks. It was the only record I played, from morning till evening. So in my book, Blackie is a genius. And he's become another hero of mine. Not only is he a great musician with an ear for great riffs and songs, he's also a more than able lyricist, and can even stand his own in a real discussion. Intelligent guy. Apart from looking up Dee Snider interviews, go read some Blackie Lawless stuff too.
