Although the Eos Tarot-- which exists as a virtual card deck in Flash on this website-- was created to promote a new car, this doesn't seem to show in the deck itself. I haven't seen any cars mentioned in it so far, except for on the first page. The deck seems to have been somebody's pet art project that just happened to be used for this. It's not actually a Tarot deck: the Tarot has 78 cards divided into 22 Major Arcana, and the rest divided into suits. This is a divination deck. Perhaps this is because promoting a car with occult paraphernalia worried the manufacturers enough that they wanted something that didn't use occult symbolism. The deck consists all of unconventional cards such as "The Grasshopper," "The Handkerchief," and "The Crying Child." The artwork is skillful and looks convincingly antique and realistic, from the trompe l'oile box and shuffled deck, to the simple calligraphic illustrations on each card. If I'd found it in a store, I would have assumed it was from no more recent time than 1930, and probably earlier; the artist was skilled at period illustration. The simulation uses a standard three-card reading (past, present, future). Descriptions for individual cards change according to their position, which is a touch that shows an eye for detail. The changes involve past, present, and future-tense as appropriate, and overall different wording to better suit that position. The overall attitude of the card interpretations are inoffensive, dignified, and optimistic. The deck consists all of unconventional cards such as "The Grasshopper," "The Handkerchief," and "The Crying Child." Although my initial reaction upon seeing a Tarot deck being used to promote a car was that I wanted to navigate away from the site without looking at it, it seems to be a nice little deck. I wouldn't mind having a printed deck, but alas, there doesn't seem to be a place on the site where you can print them out as a sheet or buy them...? (Their plan backfires. I could care less about the car, but I want their silly slips of promotional paper.)

If you know the basic about tarot you will find this frustrating and stupid (it's just AD....)

Interestingly enough this hit everything on the head without vague and broad interpretation on my behalf. Thought of a love related question, got relationship cards. Thought about a project I was working on, got cards related to inspiration and past failings for past and present projects. Only ran it three times, and all three nailed it on the head. Not bad for decoherance.
