Excellent site, I found a local hospice to volunteer for and have been there two weeks :)

They paired me with Second Harvest Food Bank and I've been volunteering there for years now. All sorts of opportunities with lots of different charities for all sorts of interests.

This site lead me to my current and wonderful volunteer work with a sexual assault hotline. Great place to look if you're trying to find a way to help others.

a very worthy concept. volunteering is fun, and fairly addictive (in a good way), because it makes a person feel worthwile (at least, it seems to me). Anyway ... good one!

I'm working on a project very similar to this...a networking device of sorts. What's needed is government funding and assistance without mandates or quotas....in a perfect world, right?
