- Some of these are probably inaccurate (I don't feel like looking them up), but the last one I know is wrong. You can't even speak of the longest word in the english language, since you can make words arbitrarily long by using prefixes and suffixes.
 mytinyvessels rated 9 months ago- Thumbs down since claiming there are exactly 6,912 languages in the world is absurd. There is no general consensus on the number since there are different standards for what is consider a separate language and what is considered to be a dialect of the same language. Most people say that there are around 6,000 languages, not 7,000. And the number given for "endangered languages" is way, WAY too low.
