 Lil-Red rated 27 months ago- Pretty standard fare, especially in the 80's. I'm not saying it's good - but everyone finds oddities in generations before them. Let's face it - most bridal apparel is overdone and ugly (this is particularly true if you're in the wedding party).
My answer to the bridesmaid dilemma (sp?)... I told them what color to show up in and left the design to their preferences. It was a safe bet on my part, they wouldn't have been in my bridal party if they were 180 out from what I could stomach.

- this was fun to look thru. i used to work at a catering hall's office, and every now & then i would get a glimpse of some horrifying wedding gowns & bridesmaid's dresses. Heehee i love this kinda stuff.
