- Not free? Not open source? No thank you. Besides, I'd want MP4 encoding. It is 2008, you know. MPEG-4 Part 2 encapsulated into AVI is on it's way out.

- this is pretty dumb. requires windows, costs money. A better alternative would be VLC player its open source, and plays everything
