DesertFox5 rated 26 months ago- This is BS,these people are not invading the country, they're here because they can get paid a relatively decent wage for their hard work as opposed to their native countries. And as for security goes I've never heard about a Mexican terrorist but there have been cases of Canadians and Brits so look somewhere else to ease your paranoia, not at those hardworking people.
Codebender rated 26 months ago- More descendants of immigrants against immigration. Hypocrisy and thinly-veiled racism are so cliché.
Xoria rated 26 months ago- From the page: "We are dedicated to America's veterans, past and present, who swore an oath to support and defend our Constitution.
Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence:
Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave.
Testimony of the late Barbara Jordan, Chair, U.S. Commission Immigration Reform on Feb. 24, 1995"

Speedoman rated 26 months ago- If you want anyone to take your rant seriously, then please learn how to spell "veteran" correctly- after all, it's the focus of your review.
MrsA rated 26 months ago- I like this page. Leave it to a Texan to make a pithy, drive-it-home statement:

DJNazzy rated 26 months ago- Ok. Right off the bat this website takes one issue, ie. border security/immigration, makes it look as if it were a veteran's issue, which it's clearly not, and fucks the entire thing up in the process. You know what gets me confused, is that in the States how many veterans there are, and how they are so pervasive in society, I'm surprised anyone really cares about how they view political issues outside their clear interests.
Healthcare for veterans...current conflicts...politicians and their records with veteran affairs...other VETERAN'S issues should have veterans voicing their opinions on websites like this one. Border security? First security isn't a problem, despite the many many "invasion" references in this site (used quite a bit for people who have supposedly seen REAL invasions - you know, the ones with death, burning cities, tanks in the streets type...). So basically the whole issue is immigration... something veterans, if they do have an opinion about, should voice seperately from their involvement in past military conflicts. They should voice their opinion as citizens, not soldiers.
It's like having a trucker's union create a website against abortion... then another trucker's union create a pro-choice website...I frankly, wouldn't give a shit what EITHER set of truckers thought about abortion...probably because as truckers, they have no more stake in the issue than the average citizen. However I might listen to them about rising gas prices, changes to trade law etc. for obvious reasons.
So when a group in society creates a website voicing an opinion, the issue at hand should have some sort of relevence to that group. Abortion touches all, Education touches all...for a veteran living in say, Washington, illegal immigration is me walking down to the beach and swimming to the opposite shore.
This site even has a list of wars and American casualties in each...like that has something to do with the validity of any argument in this issue on any side...
What America needs is better immigration laws that would allow for Mexicans to enter legally and become citizens... until they realize this, I'll be glad to stay on this side of the beach. Rant complete.
