I had to give this one a thumbs down because of the vegan 'alternatives' to ferret and cat food. Ferrets and cats are both obligate carnivores - they NEED to eat meat in order to live long, healthy lives.
I'm all for humans making the choice to go vegan or vegetarian, but if you can't stand the thought that your cute little bundle of fur needs to eat other cute little bundles of fur - DON'T HAVE PETS! Or at least don't have pets whose digestive systems are built to handle only foods that YOU find morally unacceptable.
