Vegan Outreach -- Ending Cruelty to Animals

dawnblue rated 26 months ago
I like this site. I don't think it sounds cultish. Why is that, if it's something you disagree with that it's cultish?? I really like the fact that they don't go overboard with it. Some other vegan sites actually promote violence as a way to promote veganism - that's odd...

I'd be a vegan if I could find a reliable source of vitamin B12.

You don't need an organization to be Vegan, just compassion and the knowledge that the food production system is nothing more than the murder of imprisoned and enslaved entities that never have a chance of a free life. There are alternatives to consuming meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products produced by species that are kept in cages, pens, and tanks, and never see the Sun, feel the wind, or have a day of peace, contentment, or freedom.

Animals eat other animals, and I fail to see how we are somehow above that just because we are more intelligent than them. I do, however, oppose cruelty towards farm animals and I always buy local organic meats.

*sarcasm* Don't eat your pets. Only eat the farm animals. See the logic everyone?

I have to admit, it does sound like a cult. its like people who become 'wicca' for the sparkley candles. I fail to understand how vegetarianism stops animal cruelty. As less people eat meat animals will be culled by enthusiastic 'buisness men' there will ultimatly be more battery farms than free range, because its cheaper, and because no one eats the meat they produce the few animals they keep will suffer the worse for it. In my opinion. Theres an important word- OPINION. Which everyone has a right to. Feel free to disagree.

"Ultimately, living with compassion means striving to maximize the good we accomplish, not following a set of rules or trying to fit a certain label. From eating less meat to being vegan, "

Some other vegan sites actually promote violence as a way to promote veganism - that's odd - violence for peace. I like this site because it DOESN'T go to extremes. This is one of the sites my teenage son turned to when he was thinking about going vegetarian. It is a wealth of information, and whether you agree with it or not - turn a blind eye towards the problem or choose to face it - animal cruelty exists in most massive agriculture facilities.

Be kind to animals - don't eat them
