- The Colby's are directly descended from John Adams; my sister is Abigail Adams Colby, and the males in my family all have Adams as their middle name. IMHO, however, we act more like The Addams Family (snap snap). This is a cool exhibit of letters between President and First Lady Adams. He called her "Miss Adorable". (Apparently, I'm also somehow related to Dick Cheney, but I ain't proud of this.
