I've been following this project for some time now. The Hualapai nation (meaning people of the tall pine) who own the land, have an investment that will hopefully secure their heritage and their future economically. Originally the idea was to try to come as close to realizing the Eagle in flight over the Grand Canyon. From that, modern engineering and technology has come close to the imagined becoming real. The Skywalk is controversial for many reasons. But the Hualapai seem to want this. Nuff said.
