uriel1998 rated 8 months ago- From the page: "This is a picture I did not take of a portly man with a big white beard who resembled Santa Claus in a business suit, spontaneously dancing with members of a high school marching band in Columbia, South Carolina, on the night of Barack Obama's presidential primary win, the black students with their trombones and tubas, dancing with Santa Claus in a business suit in the deep south, the crowd bursting with explosions of glee like this, small moments in which people were overcome, privately moved, while shoulder to shoulder with strangers, singly and in groups, high-fives that seemed to reach a little bit higher, even jaded members of the press brushing tears from their eyes, so many in the room overcome with emotion while imagining a future America in which a man like Obama just might become President, and his two daughters might run around and play across the White House lawn."

What is this?
Unphotographable is a catalog of exceptional mistakes. Photos never taken that weren't meant to be forgotten. Opportunities missed. Simple failures. Occasions when I wished I'd taken the picture, or not forgotten the camera, or had been brave enough to click the shutter.
Why do you do this?
I'm a photographer. But I'm not the kind of photographer who prefers looking at life through a lens. If we take photographs to remember, what do we do when we're not taking photographs?"
I love this idea!! I mean photographs are beautiful, and each one tells a story, but what about the instances you don't get to photograph? They shouldn't be forgotten, write them down, archive them, look at them in the future, and reminisce about it. Remember what you've gone through, what you've experienced, how that made you feel. We shouldn't let go of what we've experienced. I'm still young, but I already treasure all my experiences, good and bad.
moncrey rated 12 days ago- Unphotographable: Descriptions of things that were not photographed, but descriptions of something seen or experienced that could not be photographed... they were meant to be left to memories.
aboulomania rated 3 weeks ago- Descriptions of pictures not taken.
kkwhitmore rated 4 months ago- He can't show you so he describes it to you. Very creative.
