Giant "space balls" crash to earth in both Brazil and Australia. It's rumored that the one in Brazil may be part of the stray satellite shot down by the US last month...so let me get this straight--the satellite was shot down to avoid a giant piece of space junk crashing to earth and now that they've shot it apart, we've got several slightly smaller pieces of space junk crashing to earth all over the globe? I'm pretty sure that a slightly smaller piece of flaming red-hot space junk traveling several hundred MPH will still kill you just as dead as one giant, flaming red-hot satellite. Only in a much less spectacular fashion.
