This guy seems to be saying he can take care of his family adequately on what he makes. Why should he then be beating himself up? Why not take some measure of pride in what he does?
Dont be so farking elitist, you snots.
A lot of you are missing the point, too. He's not saying "HUZZAH THIS LIFESTYLE IS THE BEST FOR ALL!!" merely that it works for him, and this is why. It honestly makes me feel better, the thought that those doing these jobs.. well, that they can find some measure of pleasure from jobs that would never work out for me, I guess.
Dont take what this guy is saying to mean he's saying everyone should up and take this job.
Just take it as saying he's satisfied with his place in life. That its not all bad.
You know what, life isnt all about winning the nobel prize, or graduating with a PhD. Its about being happy.
Whatever that entails.

- This is great. I myself am a janitor, so I can understand where they're coming from. I don't want to do this the rest of my life, granted, but it's paying me well enough to thrive and provide me all the comforts, even if I have to deal with things no one else wants to touch.

- I live my life in the present (for the most part), enjoy the simple joys in life and have a well paying white collar job. Being a janitor isn't going to pay for my kids to get through college, though.
