- Not the best security program for the MacBook. Since iAlertU is just an application anyone can just turn the machine off by pressing the power button for 5 sec. After that, removing the SATA Hard drive from a Mac Book is trivial. (Remove the battery and unscrew three screws) Toss in a new drive, install OS X and there you go.
