greenchair rated 9 months ago- What a crappy cartoon. While I agree that we have to pay attention to China's rate of pollution as much as Algore would like us to keep an eye on our own, the cartoon itself says nothing and it needs a caption to tell the ENTIRE story! Political cartoons are supposed to speak for themselves, and should not need a caption to spell it out. I had no idea that 1. these guys were supposed to be Chinese, 2. this was taking place in China, 3. that they were coal plants, or 4. that it depicts brand-new coal plants opening. The New York Times proudly fails once again, and this time they prove that they can't even run a coherent editorial cartoon. PATHETIC.
