This article fails to address the fact that Eee PC users may be people who simply wouldn't buy a more expensive device and instead points a finger at ASUS for trying to appeal to a wider audience.

I can understand what they're talking about though. The cheaper it is, the more people there will be buying it, which puts more computers into the hands of my friends who aren't as well off as I am.
