Listen to xtxzt, U3 is the most annoying software for removable media. It slows down the time to load your flash drive on the computer (because the U3 system has to set itself up and put its little icon in the notification area) and takes up over 100MB of space (on the flash drive; some weird space requirements. File size was about 90MB after uninstalling, the baestards). While comparatively small when you have a 4GB or so drive, the space isn't worth the tolerance to keep the program. The selection of programs is very small and many of them are trial versions or require payment. Some of the programs even come from portableapps!! (at least they confess).Save yourself software trauma and headache and uninstall U3, then remove all the files and then get portableapps.Rust in hell, U3, rust in hell.

I just bought it. For me it works fine but helas it doesn't work for linux. Anyway I take it to places where I can use a computer and run my own software on it. Mainly firefox and thunderbird with all my preferences. And off course OpenOffice with my documents I have to work on daily. Got the free software on it to sync with my computer. It loads quickly and without any hassles.

You can plug it into any PC and work, play a game, message friends, send email, edit photos and more. A U3 smart drive makes any PC your own PC. And when you unplug it, it leaves no personal data behind.

Brilliant technology and concept behind the U3! Now it is time to invent a universal power cord and battery to ease the load when travelling.

If you run anything but win2k or xp, this crap is useless and seemingly impossible to remove. I don't care if it only runs on xp or 2k, but at least allow other people to remove it!

I really love U3. It adds lots of convenience to life, especially when you don't have admin privileges on your work computer and when your at an internet cafe, or over a friend or relatives house that doesn't have that essential software you need to use. Virus protection as well.
