I'm definitely ordering one of those. We have been without a tv for about a year now, and I can honestly say I haven't missed it once! There's too many channels with not enough money being spent on the content of the channels, absolute drivel! In my opinion telly is a clever little brainwashing tool to make people conform to society.

dang, a TV toy to mess with people's heads, that's really tempting..... here's a place you can get the make-it-yourself kit http://www.ladyada.net/make/tvbgone/

Turn off any TV, anywhere. Tempted? It's marketed as a tool to enhance your interaction with actual humans and other non digital lifeforms. They'll even sell ya a t-shirt to spam your opinion that TV is evil to anyone looking at your chest...might as well evangelize since presumably you'll be among the people more often. Heavy-handed parental censors will want this and it would be a nifty declaration purchase to an epiphany: "My God, TV sucks. I must resolve to do more with my life". I scanned the FAQ but still have one question before I add this to my cart: I need to know more about the range of this thing...how close to the mini van must I be before I can switch off the lcd headrests mesmorizing the little backseat muffins in front of me on the freeway?

TV-B-Gone. We need more of these electronic devices.

Your TV-B-GoneŽ universal remote control resembles other TV remote controls, but is different in two important ways. First, it only has a power button that allows you to switch a TV on or off. You control when you see, rather than what you see. Second, the device is so small that it easily fits in your pocket, so that you have it handy whenever you need it wherever you go: airports, bars, restaurants, laundromats, etc.

If they could somehow make one of these magic little buggers for boomcars, I'll be happy.

The keyring that lets you switch off (or on) almost any television.

I will have one of these and force others to submit to my will. Evil? Mean? Selfish? What do I care? TV Sucks.
