This is a great tutorial on how to create a php mail form. One thing to note for more experienced users is you have a better chance of reaching the inbox if you use sockets to post your mail directly to the smtp server.

I'm quite certain I've already given the main site the thumbs up, so let's talk about this particular PHP lesson... I almost always "re-take" this tutorial when the time comes for me to add another contact form somewhere. Instead of copying and pasting code from my other forms (or this site), I open up EditPad Lite, resize the window and make a fresh start. That's the best way for me to be sure that a) I've actually learned something and b) I won't eff up my version.
