They (police, staff) do this stuff all the time actually (not tasering specifically, but abuse in general). Just goes to show what their opinion of mentally ill people is.

This type of mentality by the police and other authorities finds encouragement and solace with the ascent of right wing politics. Look for more of the same unless there is a dramatic political reversal.

Another one of those stories bashing the people who make our cities and lives safer. It is becoming an ignorant fashion to be some whiny little bleeding heart democrat who can`t stop complaining about their *hard* lives.

I may be wrong about this, but doesn't the law pretty much prevent physical intervention by teachers etc. If the laws were changed there would be no need to call in police. That said, the use of a Taser on a child is completely unacceptable.
