    not sure how i feel about it. maybe there's a reason to have so many that you know-it-all types don't realize. i'd trust military types more than i trust ice cream types opinions on nuclear bombs.

    Great point by LibrarianOfBabel but I must disagree... Defensively yes, it's a great tool that could crush a war, dead in it's tracks. However, the ever looming threat that one would use these weapons offensively, (North Korea, I'm lookin at you...) still lingers in the hands of chaos. When that kicks off, an entire nuclear world war could commence, and there goes the human race. (Or at least a good deal of us.) Following my natural instinct to survive, I have to side with those abolishing these weapons. If we can't abolish them for the sake of being secure, why don't we request our ,"government officials," fund higher levels of research and development into advancing ways to deflect and guard ourselves from these weapons? We've been going through around 5 centuries of intense arsenal evolution. I think it's time to start taking some lessons from our Medieval ancestors and begin developing our armor. (If you could even call it that anymore.)
