- I love a bit of transhumanism me(eh!).Technology maybe could solve a lot of the worlds problems but there's that human factor to consider & can tip the balance the wrong way when it comes to putting technology to use for good purposes.I can never believe that technology hasn't managed to find a non polluting, limitless power source, fed the thirds world, abolshed work & poverty & not taken us to the next level of human existance. But then I see politicians & realise there's a weak link in the chain & with less & less these days entered into without the profit motive looming large. Still, keep the faith. We all love our gadgets. We went to the moon once upon a time but now a large number of people don't even believe it really happened. maybe some geek kid out there will one day discover a small gadget (hey-that maybe also plays mp3's) that will solve all the worlds ills but will just be greated by a wave of weary cynicism & lack of investment due to it's lack of built-in obselescance. It's a depressing hypothetical.
