    Ubuntu is the Linux distro for you if you're a Windows "power user". And Jaunty is the version for you too: it even has the Windowsian frequent random crash bugs.I hope for all our sakes that the Ubuntu devs get their act together sooner rather than later. At least they had the decency to make the latest actually stable version (Hardy, which I am currently using) an LTS release.

    meh..i was hoping for a guide that would show how to make linux look like xp...(don't even start....i just want it that way...end of story)

    You're not a "power user" if you're afraid of the terminal.
