How do you eat tempeh? Tempeh is a versatile meat substitute that can be sautéed, grilled, deep fried, steamed, grated, baked or micro waved. Some people even like it toasted in a toaster or eaten plain right out of the bag. Its firm texture allows it to be sliced very thin which works best for stirfrys. Unlike tofu which tends to fall apart, Tempeh holds together even if skewered on a shish kabob stick and cooked over the grill. Tempeh can be used to replace meat in just about any recipe.
