"For TITLE SAFE video artist Walter Verdin has asked a number of his colleagues to make a shore video each. There is no set topic; each artist works autonomously according to a few simple rules. "The resulting videos will be mounted in succession as phrases of a longer musical composition, alternated with a musical theme (refrain) composed and executed by Verdin and various live musicians. "The beat is fixed and provides the only framework: 125 BPM, i.e. twelve frames per beat." You may view the participants' films (in Quicktime). TS I, II, and III comprise the works of many directors. Each participant's piece consists of four looping films, each lasting 1.23 seconds. The subject matter varies greatly between directors, but each four film entry is thematically consistent. ... I came to this site after looking for information on a piece of music by Thomas Köner, entitled "Les Soeurs Lumičre" (included on his Unerforschtes Gebiet CD). As it turned out, the music was a soundtrack for a short film (shot in digital video) of the same name, made by Karen Vanderborght -- who participated in TITLE SAFE II.
