- Regardless of the date of the article, this is exactly the sort of thing we must be vigilant about. To those who have said "this would never fly nowadays": nonsense. Theist bigots are still out there. Why were so many people ready to believe this was a recent event? It is because the evangelicals have been taking over our government.

- I wish I could somehow mass mail all the people that thought that this was recent and explain, "Hey, it'll be ok, little camper. That story is almost 40 years old." It's very cool that Time's got articles from that far back available, no?

- What the hell is going on here? Kids make decisions later on in life as they experiment with beliefs anyways.... What does it have to do with bringing up a child safely and responsibly? Flagrant disregard for one's beliefs!

- Shocking! Outrageous! What is this country coming to when our freedom of religion is so flagrantly violated? But wait, what's this? - Unbelievable. Do Christians forget that the majority of settlements in the New World were formed in order to avoid religious persecution? What exactly do they think they're doing when they make judgments against atheists? Hypocrites.
