rhynodesigns discovered 13 months ago- sadly, he's right on!

FemFatale rated 13 months ago- "god Bless america" my HOME SWEET, HOMEEEEEEEEEEE. bleh...GREAT SITE!

Imayegg rated 13 months ago- Joby Weeks, a young world traveller, pushes the envelope and refuses to produce "official" ID when flying. Read on as Joby investigates an activity which, he says, has no legal requirement and violates our fundamental rights.

funkymonkey8 rated 13 months ago- I'd be that much of a smart-ass if my name was Joby also/.

mikem-uc2 rated 13 months ago- Freedom? Freedom to not show someone a little plastic card? I guess The Man's really trying to put you down, huh? Demanding you carry a plastic photograph around all the time. The bastard.

pitpawten rated 13 months ago- I was reading this as a neat but a little over-the-top article about producing ID when flying until I read the last paragraph:
"Our children watch this happen, and grow up thinking that the state has both the right to define our identity by issuing documents saying who we are, and also the right to require us to produce them on demand."
Things like this rarely happen overnight, we just wake up one day and realize things have changed and we never even realized it.- I was reading this as a neat but a little over-the-top article about producing ID when flying until I read the last paragraph:

apochromatic rated 13 months ago- Tricky one this isn't it? We all want freedom but we're all aware of those people that want to rob it from us (and no, I don't mean the govt, I mean the guys that want to blow us out of the sky) We also want the freedom to travel... ten of thousands of us... cramming into airport buildings, onto planes and expecting everything to run like clockwork...so yea, we could all take up time arguing this point with check-in staff and we would all miss our flights too. Frankly waving a piece of paper at an official to ensure flights leave on time is hardly an infringement of rights - after all, you are being allowed to fly AND can afford it. 80% of the world can't, so quit whingeing. Phewee! By the way GlassSandwich, the only nation that never needed a passport (up until the 1920s) was the UK.

- Meanwhile, we sit back and wait for our freedoms to disappear under the umbrella of security! - As others have said though, in the interest of saving everyone time, this is not as intrusive as a full body search or interviews that Israeli Airlines are famous for. In the grand-scheme, 'tis much ado about nothing. I travel frequently and I have been known to travel internationally. In comparison to the Philippines, the US is pretty well organized and efficient. The Philippines is over-run with "Little Generals" throwing their weight around for the sake of demonstrating their power over the masses. (Not ONE IOTA of this is effective security practice!) Some of it is truly insane!

id-doomer rated 13 months ago- A cool article about how to travel in the USA or from it internationally without producing identification papers / documents. Check your own countries laws to see if this'll work where you are.

- This is dangerous. Costco cards will nothave the same secuirty checks as a drivers licence or passport.
