I don't mind the occasional sponsored stumble ad. If I like it I thumb it up, if not I ignore it. In fact I'm usually glad that at least the member paid to submit their site through proper and legitimate methods. However this is what really cheeses me off about this one. When that sponsor submits their content deliberately into a topic such as "Environment" which many SU members have a genuine interest in and this site/page has nothing at all to do with that topic. In fact this is little more than an oil industry propaganda site which should have only been stumbled to members subscribed to "Petroleum" topic. Hardly worth looking at and certainly of little interest to those outside of the oil industry. Please DO NOT waste our time with such garbage which is little more than sponsored SPAM.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Oil Drum's mission is to facilitate civil, evidence-based discussions about energy and its impact on our future. A very timely blog. I will be watching it regularly.

Would have said good site, except they bill themselves as the "good Old Boys club" And have posted a video recently of a girl semi-stripping supposedly to garner attention to the the Oil crisis. Now these "good Old boys feel they have made it because girls are stripping for their cause. Men promoting woman who degrade themselves, not my cup of tea. "Treehugger.com is far better and more diverse.

Oil production over the years. Oil takes a long time to make, I wonder what will happen when we run out, synthetic oil? Hydrogen?
