FTP:"The Naked Scientists are a media-savvy group of physicians and researchers from Cambridge University who use radio, live lectures, and the Internet to strip science down to its bare essentials, and promote it to the general public". I would say that they have succeeded - the site is a veritable feast of projects that can be done at home by the family. Best way to instill the joy of science in children.

I love doing experiments with the kids in my family. This site has some great ones they'll find engaging and understand. You have to do it yourself cause kids are learning science from books nowadays; here in the UK at least. They do very few experiments in classes now so our teenagers leave school remembering the words for everything and how to answer specific questions with them but with no understanding of how the world works. These are all easy to do and each page tells you exactly how to explain the more technical aspects.

Fantastic. Simple fun ways to demonstrate science. Everything including the kitchen sink.
